5 Paleo Diet Tips

Even when it seems that the information is overwhelming for what's healthy and what's not, it is possible to choose a healthy lifestyle that includes modern and manageable choices to accommodate any lifestyle. The Paleo Diet will allow you to eat healthy, enjoy your meals, and assist you in achieving real health and wellness! The Paleo Diet does not include grains, dairy, sugars, or processed foods - none of which provide nutritional value and support disease-causing inflammation in the body. The Paleo Diet supports eating a healthy mix of organic safe meat, fresh vegetables, some fruit, some nuts and seeds... and of course, healthy fats and oils! "Food is our fuel" that makes the body run - what you put into your bod will become the building blocks for every cell, muscle, tissue, and organ. The old adage "you are what you eat" was surprisingly true.

Here are 5 easy tips to help you get started on your Paleo journey to a healthy lifestyle:
1) Pre-cook your food, even bring lunch to work. In order to minimize cooking time, cook large batches of food at the beginning of the week or several days in advance!
2) Keep a paleo-friendly meal replacement bar or shake in your desk or purse in case of a change of plans. Being un-prepared will lead to poor decision making.
3) Try a new vegetable - the more color, and the deeper the color, the more nutritious it is! For example, kale is one of my favorite superfoods and it's very versatile - you can use it in recipes for smoothies, salads, and even cooking as a warm dinner side.

Little Diet Tweaks For 50 Year Old Women That Burn Belly Fat

There are many articles written about the disadvantages women have over 50 when it comes to losing belly fat. While it is true that natural shifts in hormone production make your body more likely to deposit fat in your midsection. The mature woman over 50 has some advantages that make her more likely to finally succeed at fat loss. Because of these advantages making a few little tweaks to her diet can make a big difference to her weight.

As a woman over 50 you have come to understand what works best for you concerning diet. You are also more willing to evaluate weight loss methods and abandon the "miracle diet" for a more intelligent approach to reaching your goal. These traits add up to true advantages and will help you reach your goal of a slimmer waistline.

If you are a woman over 50 who wants to burn belly fat, try these little tweaks for two weeks and notice the difference.

1. Cut the Trans Fats. Trans fats started being used a little over 50 years ago. At the time there were some questions about the safety of these man-made fats, but the food industry loved them because they increased shelf life as well as the flavor of their foods. Now, 50 years after their introduction, research is surfacing about how these foods contribute to abdominal fat and food cravings.

For the next two weeks I challenge you to avoid trans fats. This means avoiding any pre-packaged foods, including frozen diet meals (yes, most of them contain trans fats). Instead, eat whole foods that have not been processed. Fill your daily diet with oatmeal with frozen berries, a chicken Caesar salad, whole fruits, and home-made vegetable soup and notice the results almost immediately.

An Amazingly Effective Healthy Diet For Weight Loss

I used to be a weight loss counselor and personal trainer and I can give everyone a diet where you can actually eat as much as you want and still lose weight hand over first and at the same time get all of the nutrients that your body needs to thrive for years and years to come. Wouldn't that be fantastic?

The diet that I am referring to consists of eating lots of lean proteins (turkey/fish/chicken) plenty of vegetable such as sweet potatoes and carrots and as much sugarless oatmeal as your heart desires (do NOT go for out of the box Quaker Flavored Oatmeal, there are many better options as Quaker Flavored Oatmeal contains tons of unnecessary sugars). Sounds yummy right?

Don't worry, we are just getting started. The key to this diet is to completely eliminate refined sugars, and salt (as much as possible... use Mortons light salt) from your diet. If you are looking for a bit of a 'sweet' kick, opt instead for Stevia for sweetener. In addition to the preceding, absolutely NO condiments, butter, heavy salad dressings, fats and cheeses. The final key to this healthy diet for weight loss is to limit the dairy in your diet. Don't you think this incredible diet sounds more possible and more plausible than a lot of other 'fad' diets you may have come across recently?

Here are some meal examples to get you started on the right track to killing your extra pounds, murdering excess body fat and finally giving you the body transformation that you totally deserve. Have a look at the sample menu below:

1. Breakfast - oatmeal cooked, 1 bowl with egg whites
2. Lunch - Grilled chicken over salad with oil and vinegar
3. Snack - Apples and pears..
4. Dinner - Fish or chicken baked with salsa and a yam. NO butter!

Reactive Hypoglycemia Diet - The Key to Relief

If you suffer from reactive hypoglycemia, then you know just how much of a pain the symptoms of this frustrating disorder can be. - The moodiness, the anxiety, the hunger pangs, the fatigue, the heart racing, the dizziness, the tremors and the list goes on. So how do you control the disorder? Do you absolutely have to take medication? Do you have to rely on chemicals to treat your symptoms rather than treating the disorder naturally? Well honestly, you don't! You can alleviate the symptoms naturally. - And get remarkable relief at the same!

As you know, reactive hypoglycemia is a condition that occurs 1 to 4 hours after taking in a high-carb load. This tells us one thing; that this disorder is directly caused by eating and/or diet. So that also tells us another thing, this condition can be fixed and the symptoms can be alleviated through proper diet. Does that sound about right? Well it did to me! - And it is what helped me end the battle with RH.

With reactive hypoglycemia, when you eat simple carbohydrates like white bread, candy, cake, white potatoes etc., your blood sugar spikes significantly. When this happens, your insulin levels surge and continue to surge even past the point of "stable" blood sugar levels. This is when the clinically defined reactive hypoglycemia symptoms kick in due to low blood sugar. (The symptoms mentioned above.) So the trick is to eat foods that do not spike blood sugar and/or to eat foods that only permit blood sugar levels to rise slowly.

Diet and Exercise As the Recipe for Weight Loss Success

One of the best things you can do to improve your overall health and longevity is to lose weight. However, losing weight can be quite challenging, as you may know all too well. Although there are many fads and gimmicks for weight loss on the market, the only lasting results will come from eating a sensible diet and getting regular exercise. A vital part of successful weight loss is your diet - the foods you eat can help support your weight loss goals, or they can hinder them. The choice is yours. If you are like many of us, you likely have a nagging feeling that your diet could be healthier. It will be more difficult, however, to adopt a healthy diet without a clear idea of exactly what it is that you eat on a regular basis.

We can often be surprisingly unaware of what we put into our mouths! Keeping a food diary can be an excellent way to become far more conscious about what you eat. In your food diary, you will record every single item of food that you eat, including all snacks. This food diary will be beneficial for at least two reasons. Once you record everything you eat for several weeks, you'll be able to look at all your entries and get a far more accurate idea of how your diet measures up in terms of your average daily caloric intake, the amount of protein, carbs, and fats you consume on a daily basis, etc. Another reason to keep a food journal is that many people find that recording every single thing they eat has the unintended consequence of making them eat less and making healthier food choices.

3 Best Diet Journal Tips to Lose Weight Super Fast

When it comes to journaling your diet, putting this into practice by creating a brilliant diet journal will inspire you even further, making losing weight that much easier.

Below are considered probably the top 3 motivational dieting tips to add to your diet journal:

1. Diarize your thoughts and feelings:

This is very important and while it may come across as slight self-absorbing, it's important to be critical of your thoughts as in these emotions lies the answer to resolving any issues you may have, plus it also helps you understand the way you were dieting and the way you can change your diet for the long-term.

Take for example when you're feeling sad or lonely and at what time in the day, do you consume more food when you have these feelings as your diet plan will reveal. If so you need to address these states of emotion and how they can be turned into a positive.

Consider hanging out and catching up with your friends more, or doing something new. One great place for meeting new folks who have similar interests in your location is meetup.com. May be it's astrology or animals that you have a fond interest in. This is just one website that you can use to your advantage and develop new friendships and advance your interests.

If however you feel you may need some professional help, don't be afraid to approach your local medical practitioner for advice.

2. Takedown number of Kg's you've lifted each session :

Is The Lemon Juice Diet Safe?

The Lemon Juice Diet is a cleansing and weight loss diet that was first developed back in the 1940s. Stanley Burroughs, an alternative medicine practitioner, invented it. Originally called The Master Cleanse, this diet had lost its pull over the past decades only to gain back its popularity in 2006 when Hollywood celebrity Beyoncé Knowles claimed to lose 20 lbs. because of it.

This fast can easily be considered a miracle diet, thanks to its ability to induce weight loss in as quickly as 10 days. Nevertheless, like any other diet, it is crucial that you consider its potential impact on your health.

What's In That Lemonade?

Basically, the Lemon Juice Diet consists of four ingredients. These are spring water, freshly squeezed lemon juice, maple syrup (Grade B), and cayenne pepper. Here's a breakdown of the roles each ingredient play:

Water: To keep you hydrated despite the fact that you are not consuming anything except the lemon juice mixture. Moreover, water will keep you satiated by filling you up until your next dose of the Cleanse.

Lemon juice: Lemon juice is said to promote the diet's "cleansing action", purifying the body by breaking up congestion and mucus, and at the same time lending a refreshing taste to the otherwise bland liquid diet. Lemon juice is packed with vitamins and minerals, too, which you may actually find handy if you are in this kind of diet.

Since your breast milk takes all its nutrients from what your body acquires, it is your job to eat the proper foods to keep you and your baby fit at all times.

Bland Diet Relief

Good News When On A Bland Diet Doctors often recommend bland diets for folks with intestinal challenges. If you've been told a bland diet is best for wondering what you can eat this article will help give you some ideas and hopefully encourage you, by letting you know that you have many choices available from many food groups. Whether it's fruit that you crave, or meat, cereal or dairy, there are some very good choices to help make your bland diet tasty. Dairy Soothes Stomachs The intent of a bland diet is to allow the digestive tract to heal before introducing more difficult to digest foods. After surgery or as a result of overstress such as ulcers, gas or heartburn, the recommended diet will give the stomach a rest and let it repair itself. Fortunately for dairy lovers there are many mild dairy foods that tend to soothe irritated linings. You will want to avoid overly sweet dairy products such as chocolate milk, and also spicy cheeses that can irritate your system. Heavy cream or half-and-half products have excessive fat and can stress the stomach so stick with low fat low sugar dairy products, and drink plenty of cool clean water. Enjoy Flavorful Fruit Although you can enjoy fruit regularly, raw fruits can over load your tender stomach with too mach fiber and cause distress, therefore, you should limit your intake to processed canned fruits and applesauce. Avoid tomatoes and tomato based sauces which are hard on the linings of your stomach and can cause some distress. Bananas, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes are all easily digested and can give you options at mealtime. Avoid high fat toppings like butter on your baked potato or chocolate on you bananas. Stay away from sauerkraut and other pickled vinegar based sour fermented foods as these will upset the digestive tract.

What About Meat?

Bland diet or no, most folks want some meat. No problem, meat is available even to those on a diet. Once you realize that spices and fried foods add to stress on the digestive system, and that red meats and pork are the hardest for your stomach to digest, you can make decisions that include meat. Fish or chicken, provided you bake or steam them, are gentle on the digestive system while adding flavor and variety to your diet. On the subject of protein, you may enjoy smooth peanut butter which has lots of protein and is easier to digest than chunky style peanut butter. You can also enjoy eggs as long as you don't use a lot of salt and pepper or spicy salsa on them.

Is Your Diet Healthy or Are You Eating Yourself To Death ?

It is common knowledge that anybody trying to lose weight must reassess the way they eat. It has never been easier to buy foods that are unhealthy; easier being the operative word. Modern living ensures that almost everything is at hand which enables achievement of almost anything with the minimum of effort. Food is the prime example of this with ready cooked meals being sold on every street corner. So, when you are commuting home after work, with the dreaded thought of having to cook, the most common solution is to get a take away.

There are three main ingredients in most convenience foods that can cause the human body untold damage over a period of time. These ingredients are saturated fats, salt and sugar. The shocking reason that these types of foods contain such harmful additives is for profit. Salt enhances the shelf life of a product; saturated fats are cheaper than the more healthy alternatives and sugar improves the taste. Furthermore, ask yourself this question - do you really know what you are eating when you consume convenience food?

Why You Should not Trust Celebrity Diets

Sometimes it seems as if we're trapped in a strange system. There's a huge pressure to get fit and lose weight, one exerted on us through a couple of factors. Firstly, there's the obvious health benefits, we all understand being fitter is... well, fitter. Secondly, there's the effect of celebrity and media. You're unlikely to see actors or general superstars who aren't in apparently amazing shape. If all our successful role models are thin, it sends a fairly clear message that we need to be as well.

Unfortunately, one of the ways this message is transmitted is via celebrity dieting. Dieting is a huge industry, rife with fads and general silliness. Each year a few diets get promoted heavily in the media, and thousands of hopeful individuals get caught up in them. Sometimes they lose weight permanently, quite often they'll bounce back within a few months. Either way, it's worth noting why these diets can't be inherently trusted.

We'll open with an important point, which is there's rarely a guarantee the celebrity is using the diet themselves. Commonly a writer will create a dieting system, and publishers will pay a celebrity to license it. The star gets a hefty pay out, and the publisher sees far greater sales over time. Chances are the relevant celebrity does make a sincere effort keeping themselves fit, but you can't be certain you'll be using the same system.

Now, if the celebrity is doing book tours, commenting on their strategies and seeming genuinely informed, there's a good chance they're legitimate. But then we have a second problem, which is that celebrities aren't nutritionists. They don't even sound similar! Where individuals have vastly differing metabolisms and nutritional needs, what works for is unlikely to work for you. Add on this the fact that eating disorders are rife in Hollywood, and thin doesn't necessarily mean healthy. Just because a celebrity genuinely stays thin on a diet of nothing but cabbage doesn't mean doing so yourself isn't fairly suicidal.

Although a diet program may work for a close friend, it could have an entirely different effect on you as this is due to each person's different metabolism. Consequently, to lose weight effectively a number of other things need to be taken into account as well, your height, bone structure, weight are just a few but there are more. So, embarking on one of the many generic weight loss programs that are available can become soul-destroying and fruitless.

But with the "Anything Goes" diet plan program, as well as being less stressful than most, it will be sculptured around you and your specific needs. In addition, an in-depth plan which incorporates one-to-one advice is available via email, if required. Nobody plans to become fat and it does not happen over-night but if your weight is beginning to spiral out of control, then you could be looking at a great number of health problems in the future. Obesity has become a major problem and embarrassment throughout the worlds developed countries and although many of these countries have become more powerful, their populations have grown fatter.

Diets Are Bunk

Diets are bunk. That's right, I said it.

And yet diets remain the most popular way to lose weight for millions of people. Why is that? Because diets aren't the real solution to a weight problem. At best they're a band-aid. At worst, they're a frustrating, money-wasting cycle of deprivation and rebound bingeing.

If you look closer you'll see that diets are, by their very nature, doomed to fail. That's because the whole concept behind dieting is flawed. People think they can shed their excess weight by simply starving themselves into submission. But you and I know what really happens. After weeks of depriving yourself, the pressure to eat your favorite comfort food becomes unbearable, and then you explode in an orgy of binge eating. Pretty soon you're elbow deep in that half gallon tub of fudge ripple ice cream - again. Restrict, binge, restrict - and binge some more. It's called yo-yo dieting for a reason!

And the weight loss industry KNOWS this. In fact, yo-yo dieters are their cash cows - so to speak. The major weight loss franchises make billions every year from repeat customer sign-up fees, as well as sales of supplements, packaged foods and other diet aids. Why do you think the most popular weight loss chain offers a "lifetime" membership? It's because they know diets aren't the real solution to your problem, and that you'll most likely need to diet again - and again. Actually, their lifetime memberships sell very well, because dieters instinctively know that they haven't learned the necessary skills to maintain their weight loss over the long term. Think about it this way. If you took your car to a mechanic and he only fixed it temporarily, and you had to keep taking it back to him over and over for the same service, wouldn't you fire him and find a new mechanic? One who had the solution to your problem? Sure you would!
