3 Diets That Work Fast - Reviewed

There are a lot of diets that work fast on the market these days, but I have to tell you that I have been pretty happy these past few months with my own personal diet. For those of you that don't know, I tried my own quick diet - no soda / no fast food. To tell you the truth, I think it's been one of best diet plans I've been on!

Why do I say that? Because I lost 15lbs in 2 months! While that might not seem like a lot to some, it's more than enough for me right now. Plus, what I've been able work this diet plan while creating a new routine - a routine focused on eating healthier and exercising regularly.

We are creatures of habit and that's what I was dealing with. I just needed a spark to change things up. They say that it takes 30 days to reprogram the brain into a new routine. So all I did was buckle up and dedicate myself to those 30 days and momentum took over.

So keeping with that spirit of diet plans that work, I thought I'd outline 3 plans that I've followed successfully that shed pounds. Keep in mind that not everyone find success with every diet plan. There are plenty of varying results out there and sometimes you just need to create your own plan like my no soda / no fast food plan. But above all, always consult a dietician or health specialist if you're looking for extreme fast acting diet plans.

The plans I'm outlining could be considered 'fad diets,' but since they are much older (... and have been around a while) I'll refer to them as the 'quick diets.'

Cookie Diet

This diet plan is definitely listed as a crash diet. The calorie intake is extremely low (... approximately 800 calories per day) and does pose health risks. Originally created by Sanford Siegel, who promotes high amino acid levels, this diet focuses on foods that will make you 'feel' more full. You are allowed six cookies per day as a supplement to foods rich in protein. But don't get too excited. These aren't the cookies mom use to make. These are functional cookies packed with nutrition.

Weight Loss - Healthy Diet and Life Style

Weight loss is the number one challenge for a person who wants change in their lives. Well, believe it or not, only healthy diet and life style can bring you to an extraordinary level that you have always been wanting. Being healthy and staying that way is not as hard as you think. If you are having a bad time seeing all those models with perfectly shaped body while all you see when you look at yourself in the mirror is a body full of fats, then, this is the best time to stop belittling yourself and instead, do something for you to achieve weight loss successfully. All those dramas and self-pitying will bring you no good because as far as weight loss is concerned, life style and healthy diet remains to be the most important factors that you need to consider.

As everyone knows it, regular exercise is an essential factor in order to burn fats to achieve weight loss. Sitting or lying down for a long period of time will never help. Try to stretch and train those lazy bones. You can go jogging every morning, hit the gym, attend yoga or meditation classes, have a bicycle trip with your friends or family or if these are all too much for you, even one hour of walking in your neighborhood can already be a big help. If you want to achieve weight loss, it is also important for you to stay away from stress and get sufficient sleep every night, at least 7 to 8 hours will do.

The Dukan Diet VS The Atkins Diet

Both the Dukan diet and the Atkins diet stick with the same objectives. Above all is to help in shedding weight and second is to reduce the ingestion of carbohydrates from food. One other important similarity is the number of phases which they share equally. Both of them offer 4 phases respectively. However, to satisfy the same objective, they follow two different routes. Where the Dukan diet stresses the usage of high proteins to minimize carbohydrates, the Atkins diet does not. It stresses on the consumption of carbohydrates which it would like to first reduce and then finish off in the dieter's diet.

Phase 1:
Where phase one in the Dukan diet is referred to as the "attack phase", the Atkins diet refers to it as the "induction phase". Although the objective of the first phase is comparable (to trim down body weight considerably), they go forward with unique methods. Dukan emphasizes complete protein food in this first phase, cutting down most of the carbs and fat. Atkins focuses on cutting down the consumption of the carbs only, and then works on switching the body from burning mostly carbohydrates (in the form of glucose) to burning mainly fat (including your body fat) for energy. Whilst there is no intake of carbs in the Dukan diet at all, Atkins diet allows for only 20 grams daily (including vegetables) during the first phase.

Phase 2:
