3 Diets That Work Fast - Reviewed

There are a lot of diets that work fast on the market these days, but I have to tell you that I have been pretty happy these past few months with my own personal diet. For those of you that don't know, I tried my own quick diet - no soda / no fast food. To tell you the truth, I think it's been one of best diet plans I've been on!

Why do I say that? Because I lost 15lbs in 2 months! While that might not seem like a lot to some, it's more than enough for me right now. Plus, what I've been able work this diet plan while creating a new routine - a routine focused on eating healthier and exercising regularly.

We are creatures of habit and that's what I was dealing with. I just needed a spark to change things up. They say that it takes 30 days to reprogram the brain into a new routine. So all I did was buckle up and dedicate myself to those 30 days and momentum took over.

So keeping with that spirit of diet plans that work, I thought I'd outline 3 plans that I've followed successfully that shed pounds. Keep in mind that not everyone find success with every diet plan. There are plenty of varying results out there and sometimes you just need to create your own plan like my no soda / no fast food plan. But above all, always consult a dietician or health specialist if you're looking for extreme fast acting diet plans.

The plans I'm outlining could be considered 'fad diets,' but since they are much older (... and have been around a while) I'll refer to them as the 'quick diets.'

Cookie Diet

This diet plan is definitely listed as a crash diet. The calorie intake is extremely low (... approximately 800 calories per day) and does pose health risks. Originally created by Sanford Siegel, who promotes high amino acid levels, this diet focuses on foods that will make you 'feel' more full. You are allowed six cookies per day as a supplement to foods rich in protein. But don't get too excited. These aren't the cookies mom use to make. These are functional cookies packed with nutrition.

3 Day Diet Plan

This diet plan does what it says. It promises you can lose 10lbs in 3 days and that's exactly what happened to me. But you MUST be dedicated to the meal plans on this diet. You get three meals per day. They are small portions which are calorie conscience. Again, this diet does pose health risks as its calorie intake per day is less than 1000 - well below the recommended 2000 calories per day intakes.

NutriSystem

Perhaps the most popular or well-known, Nutrisystems weight loss program has been around since 1999 and commercialized by a chain of retail stores. The program works by the company sending designated, pre-packaged meals to your door that you can select from 100's of meals. Of course there is a premium paid for this service, but the food is definitely good and focused on lean proteins and foods low on the glycermic index (GI) which is healthy. In my opinion, this plan is the most healthy and well-round solution while portion size adds to the fast action of this diet plan. Remember, not all diet plans work for everyone. It's important to find a plan that works for YOU and stick with it. While diets that work fast and boosting supplements are great, it's the long term weight loss and overall mental reprogramming that we're after. Keep at it and good luck with your diet plans!
